Keyboard Keys Randomly Stop Working on Windows Laptop

If your Backspace, Spacebar, Enter, and other keys randomly stop working on your Windows laptop — especially after 30 to 90 minutes — you’re not alone. This frustrating issue can appear intermittently and seems to have no clear cause…

There are a lot of posts online about this and I tried all the recommendations, like keyboard troubleshoot, update drivers, reboot in safe mode.  Finally, I went to my Task Manager and started reviewing my enabled start up processes.

Turns out logiLDA.dll, a file used by Logitech’s update checker was the culprit. It runs in the background via rundll32.exe and is often triggered at startup or periodically during long sessions.

Even if you’re not using a Logitech keyboard, the software can still interfere with normal Windows keyboard input, causing certain keys to stop responding until you restart — or worse, think your hardware is failing.

I love Logitech products, and this is probably a fluke/conflict with a recent update, but wanted to mention this fix in case it happens to anyone else.  Your issue could be another driver conflict, so try the Task Manager if nothing else has fixed the keyboard issue.
